Update VWS naar V12.07 p31
Virtual Weather Station heeft zijn software aangepast en ge-upgrade naar versie 12.07 p31. Diverse problemen moeten zijn opgelost met deze versie. Ik heb zelf deze versie nu er ook opgezet en hoop dat de "rare problemen" die ik zo af en toe heb, nu werkelijk tot het verleden horen.
Om de versie te downloaden, ga naar:

De zip-file bestaat uit twee bestanden, te weten:
1. vws.exe
2. menu.uir
Pak de bestanden uit en kopieer ze in de vws-directory, maar bewaar de oude bestandjes wel eerst even, voor de zekerheid zullen we maar zeggen.

Download de file en pak hem uit. Kopieer daarna de twee files naar de VWS directory, maar eerst even het programma sluiten. Als je de eerste keer weer opstart, start hij in de "Hidden Modus". Dit kun je veranderen door via Settings - Program Settings het vinkje voor "Hidden" weg te halen. Hij zal daarna weer normaal opstarten.

Fixed CPU issues with Vantage Pro2. This problem was introduced in Version 12.07p31. A delay was removed in the Davis communication background task, causing the high CPU useage. I am now seing CPU useage of 0-20% (increases for Internet operation), which is similar to the Davis WeatherLink software.

Fixed Peet Bros Rainfall problem. Now uses console time instead of the computer time. If clocks were not completely synchronized, the rainfall for the day was incorrectly reported as zero.

Changes to the hourly rain to improve accuracy. The issue was that if the computer and console time was significantly different, there was an error in the calculated hourly rain.
Leap Year problem with Wunderground data fixed.

Removed the Web Download Feature. It was causing too many problems with outdated browsers (pre IE6.0)
Removed WxWatch.com feature. No longer in service

Added some drivers to installation kit. Was having problem with some 95 and 98 machines. Increased the file download size

Fixed issue with multiple sensors and the Vantage Pro/Pro2 series.
To configure the sensors, select Settings | Vantage Accessories from the menubar, and check the sensors in your system. This will eliminate a very specific problem if a sensor was set up on one channel, then moved to a different channel (the data from the original channel was never "erased" and VWS treated this as valid data.

Complete overhaul of the weather website builder and associated tools. The changes include background cell colors that change as a function of tempreature, automated insertion of the correct radar image for your location, insertion of weather warnings, 5-Day Forecast, the Weather Exchange Network and climate data (to name a few). To view the complete list of new tags, select Internet | HTML Tags from the menubar, and select the folder icon button.
Added html tag all_graphs, all_icons and all_gauges to allow easy insertion of all of the gauges and graphs on your webpage. This also eliminates the issue with re-sizing the graphics. Please Click on this example webpage.
Many more tags added to allow easy website template automation. Please reference the User's Manual for details.
Added new templates.
Some website do not allow full filepath ftp functionality. The software allows you to switch to the local directory first, and then define the local path as \ (no path defined).
5-Day Forecast added. Reference Wunderground | 5-Day Forecast from the menubar.
Menu item Settings | Station Settings enhanced to include Station Location and Description and World Location for use as HTML Tags. Longitude and latitude now expressed in fraction of degrees rather then minutes and seconds.
File Tag redesigned - must no longer be defined in the File Tag window - any filename will do with the ^ parse character.
Significant updates to the User Manual.
Upgrades would overwrite the template files in the previous versions. To avoid this issue, the template files are copied to the root directory, unless the file already exists in the root directory.
